⚠ New Hampshire note: New Hampshire has no sales tax, but Manchester funds solid waste service through property taxes. There is no separate monthly trash bill for most residential customers. Service is provided to eligible residential properties and small commercial stops along public streets.

Manchester’s Two Curbside Streams — Trash Weekly, Recycling Biweekly

Manchester SWEP provides weekly trash and every-other-week recycling curbside. Yard waste is seasonal curbside service. Bulky items, electronics, and hazardous materials go through the Drop-Off Facility or special events.

Manchester Yard Waste Collection — Seasonal

Manchester SWEP provides curbside yard waste collection seasonally. Spring and fall: collected weekly (mid-April through October). Summer months: biweekly (every other week). Winter: service suspended, except for Christmas tree pickup in January. Do not sweep yard waste into the street.

Manchester Bulky Item Pickup — Appointment Required

Bulky items (furniture, appliances) cannot be placed with regular trash and recycling. You have two options: bring items to the Manchester Drop-Off Facility at 500 Dunbarton Road, or schedule a curbside bulky item pickup appointment with SWEP.

Manchester SWEP coordinates periodic HHW collection events for Manchester residents only. These are separate from the Drop-Off Facility. Participants must bring proof of Manchester residency. The City allows up to 10 gallons of liquid and 20 pounds of solid HHW per visit at no cost.
