Little Rock Waste Collection — Quick Facts
The City of Little Rock Public Works Solid Waste Division provides weekly garbage and yard waste collection plus biweekly curbside recycling to all residential customers. The City sub-contracts recycling collection to a third-party hauler. All services use city-provided carts. Your garbage day determines your yard waste day (the following business day) and your recycling week.
Little Rock’s Three Collection Streams
All three streams use city-provided carts and have distinct schedules. Your garbage day drives the other two: yard waste is collected the business day after your garbage day, and your recycling week (Green or Gold) is tied to your specific address and route. All carts must be out by 7:00 AM on their scheduled day.

Little Rock Recycling — The Core Four, Every Other Week
Little Rock’s curbside recycling program uses a “Core Four” approach: paper, cardboard, metal cans, and plastic bottles & containers.
