Garbage (weekly)

Trash is collected once per week for residential single-family homes and duplexes, by the City’s Sanitation Services.

Recycling (single-stream)

Single-stream recycling collected weekly. You can check your exact day via the “Schedule” tool on the city site.

Brush & Bulk

Large items, tree limbs and bulk items collected per schedule. Major holidays may adjust dates.

🗓️ Weekly Pickup & Set-out Rules

  • Garbage: collected once per week for single-family homes/duplexes.
  • Set-out rules: Place carts curbside/alley (check your service type). Face handles toward house; leave ~3 ft clearance from sides and 1.5 ft from rear.
  • Recycling: Use the city tool to confirm your day; typically same day of week as garbage.
  • Service alerts: The City publishes holiday and service delay notices — check them regularly.

📦 Brush & Bulk Collection

  • Brush (tree limbs, yard debris) and bulk items (furniture, large appliances) are collected per schedule and may require separate set-out windows.
  • During major holidays or aftermath of storms the city may adjust the bulk/brush collections. Example: for Friday service areas, collections were moved up 2 days at Christmas/New Year.
  • Check the City’s “Special Collections” or the Sanitation Services site for details on eligibility, volume limits and restrictions.

⚠️ Household Hazardous Waste (HHW)

🎉 Holiday Schedule

  • The City may **reschedule Friday collections** ahead of major holidays. For example, services normally scheduled for Friday Dec 25 / Jan 1 were moved to Wednesday Dec 23 / Dec 30.

🚚 Missed Pickup — What to Do

  1. Make sure your roll-cart was out by 7 a.m., unobstructed and set correctly per instructions.
  2. Check updates or service alerts via the Sanitation Services page or app.
  3. If you still missed service, submit a request via the City’s service portal or call 3-1-1.

💲 Cart Sizes & Fees
